چکیده

Abstract This study explored the predictive value of monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR) and platelet–lymphocyte (PLR) in patients with acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF). A retrospective analysis was carried out on 40 ACLF from January 2018 August 2019 our hospital. The patient’s clinical information during hospitalization collected, their survivals were followed for 3 months. MLR PLR values compared, correlation between function indicators prognosis analyzed. We observed that levels survival death groups 0.521 (0.311, 0.827) 0.741 (0.442, 1.121), respectively. markedly enhanced group compared to ( P = 0.021). receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) exhibited area under ROC 95% confidence interval 0.641 (0.528–0.757). Survival demonstrated 3-month high lower than low 0.001). Multivariate regression exposed independent prognostic factors ACLF. could be prospective prognosticative markers

Evaluation of neutrophil/leukocyte ratio and organ failure score as predictors of reversibility and survival following an acute-on-chronic liver failure event.

AIM Acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) is defined as an acute deterioration of liver disease with high mortality in patients with cirrhosis. The early mortality in ACLF is associated with organ failure and high leukocyte count. The time needed to reverse this condition and the factors affecting mortality after the early 30-day-period were evaluated. METHODS One hundred and ninety-seven con...

[Acute on chronic liver failure].

Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure (ACLF) is a recently introduced term defined as severe acute deterioration of an established liver disease. This entity usually develops after an acute insult. The main clinical manifestations are hepatorenal syndrome, hepatic encephalopathy and organ failure, with a high risk of death in the short term. The true incidence of ACLF remains difficult to determine du...

Acute-on-chronic liver failure.

Acute-on-chronic liver failure combines an acute deterioration in liver function in an individual with pre-existing chronic liver disease and hepatic and extrahepatic organ failures, and is associated with substantial short-term mortality. Common precipitants include bacterial and viral infections, alcoholic hepatitis, and surgery, but in more than 40% of patients, no precipitating event is ide...

Acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) is an increasingly recognized distinct disease entity encompassing an acute deterioration of liver function in patients with chronic liver disease. Although there are no widely accepted diagnostic criteria for ACLF, the Asia.Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and the European As...
